Our Ministry in Malawi
We teach theology and Bible classes at the African Bible College (ABC) in Lilongwe, Malawi— a country of 12 million located in S.E. Africa. Our goal is to train leaders like ABC graduate Rev. Brian Kamwendo. After graduating in 2003, Brian was ordained and assigned a congregation. His first church had close to 1000 members and 15 affiliated prayer houses with over 50 people in each. For a young Pastor like Brian to have a couple thousand under his care is not uncommon. We regularly bring ABC students out to the village to help leaders like Brian meet the needs of their congregations.
Laura, Clara, Katherine and I live on the college campus along with most of the 180 ABC students. Our students are primarily Malawians, but also originate from Zimbabwe, Zambia, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. ABC graduates typically become teachers, school headmasters, pastors, radio broadcasters, social workers, government officials and a variety of other occupations — all of which will help shape the future of Africa.
